Abstract

In elderly patients, calcification of the aorta is often observed, blood vessels become more rigid, and the functional capacity of the cardiovascular system is reduced. Also, age-related changes affect the productivity and physiological function of the lungs, kidneys and nervous system. This article presents a clinical case of complete myocardial revascularization using both internal thoracic arteries in a patient with multifocal atherosclerosis and severe atherosclerotic lesion of the ascending aorta.
