Abstract

Issues of the damage topography and development mechanisms of the right ventricle (RV) myocardial contractile dysfunction associated with ischemic heart disease (IHD), character and mechanisms of the RV dysfunction are contemplated, parallels with peculiarities of coronary bed damages are drawn. The investigation includes 127 IHD patients with the right ventricle myocardial contractile dysfunction according to the EchoCG results. The results of the study showed that in the right ventricle unlike the left ventricle myocardial dysfunction is mostly determined by viable myocardium which is related to RV anatomical peculiarities and hemodynamic conditions of its performance. Right coronary artery (RCA) damage as the main vessel supplying blood to the RV myocardium plays the leading part in the pathogenesis of the RV myocardial ischemic dysfunction. The damage of anterior interventricular branch (AIVB) - the vessel which is a collateral donator in the (RCA) system is of major imporatance.
