Assessment oftemperature conditions of artificial circulationduring operations for Fallot's tetrad radical correction

Abstract

Advances in cardiac surgery, especially in congenital heart disease (CHD) operations, including total correction of tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) etc. are associated with proper management of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). The article deals with evaluation of the three temperature modes of CPB during total correction of TOF. The authors have suggested that optimal temperature modes for total correction of TOF were spontaneous hypothermia to 34-35° С and superficial hypothermia to 31-32° С.
