Cerebral circulatory disorder influence on supportive tissue microcirculation after dental implantation

Abstract

Gingival microcirculation after dental implantation in 74 patients was assessed using laser Doppler flowmetry. It was observed that restoration of circulation in implant area took place 3 months after. Deterioration of autoregulatory reserves of regional cerebral circulation influenced unfavourably gingival microcirculation after implantation. Reactive hyperemia was not observed, circulation intensity was reduced for 1 month after implantation. Gingival circulation reached normal level only in 6 months after implantation.
