Abstract

102 teens with arterial hypertension (AH) were examined to assess celebral hemodynamics. The age of examined varied from 13 to 18 years, with average age of 15. 0 ± 1.3 years. In 46 patients (30 (65,2%) boys, 16 (34.8%) girls) clinical symptomatology corresponded to the first degree AH and in 56 patients (73.2% boys, 26.8% girls) to the second degree AH. With disease progression structural changes in vascular walls were growing, autoregulation mechanisms were increasingly disordered, also the increase in volumetrical bloodflow in common jugular veins and vertebral veins and increase of linear velocity in arterial channel was noticed, which was followed with growth of sympathicotonia occurence.
