Abstract

Today, one of the priorities of health care is the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the circulatory system, because for decades the cardiovascular system disorders are among the most common diseases and leading causes of death among the population in most countries of the world.
Patients with cardiovascular disorders need timely and rational therapy. The choice of treatment (therapeutic or determi- ning the indications for surgical treatment) is based, as a rule, on the results of radiological methods of examination of pa- tients. However, not always the data from these survey methods objectively reflect the functional state of the heart muscle.
Anatomical methods of myocardium study performed on the basis of the mathematical modeling and quantify of the mor- phological changes of cells are the most reliable ways of confirming the presence of cardiac tissue damage or disorders of its function.
In the available literature, we found no data on the patterns of changes in morphometric parameters of the coronary ves- sels, and structural and functional state of cardiomyocytes. Thus, from the requests of clinic follows the need for research of parameters that can be studied in patients without the use of invasive methods, but would constitute objective criteria for evaluation of myocardial morphology and function by identifying a high degree of correlation values obtained using non-invasive methods, and the results of anatomical (cytochemical) research. This will improve the objectivity of informa- tion used in clinical practice, diagnostics of myocardial damage and thus improve the results of treatment of patients with cardiac diseases and their quality of life.
