Abstract

Muscular system of lymphatic vessel has uneven structure on its extent. It condititionally can be selected two muscles – muscular cuff and valvar muscle. They are connected within the lymphangion limits (its muscular cuff and valves) and on all along lymphatic vessel (muscular connections of neighbouring lymphangions). The purpose of this study is demonstrated organization of muscular system of lymphatic vessel. Structure of lymphatic vessels with different sizes and topography is studied on histological sections, coloured total preparations and under electron microscope. Walls of all lymphatic vessels consist of 3 coats – intima, media and adventitia, of interchanging unvalvar and valvar parts (muscular cuffs of lymphangions and their bouder-line valves). Constantly myocyties are determined in circular layer of the media. It is displaced to vascular lumen in the base of valve. In result it increases in thickness and forms projection – valvar shaft, where (oblique)transverse bundles of myocyties interwine with (oblique)longitudinal muscular bundles of intima. Muscular cuffs of neighbouring lymphangions are connected in unified stretch by supravalvar longitudinal bundles of myocyties of (sub)adventitia in large lymphatic vessels. Spatial organization of smooth myocyties in the walls of lymphatic vessel may be present as network of different solidity and thickness with prevalence of oblique-transverse bundles. Long (oblique)longitudinal muscular bundles can entwine in this network and have very important significance for coordination of motions of muscular cuff and valves in lymphangion, muscular cuffs of neighbouring lymphangions, next valves.
