Abstract

Objective. Presentation of the capabilities of the new HeartModel software module (NM) for automated three-dimensional reconstruction of the volumes and architectonics of the left heart chambers in a cardiac surgery clinic.
Material and methods. The work of the NM software installed on the expert-class EpiQ-7 ultrasound system using the X5-1 matrix phased transthoracic sensor was analyzed. To demonstrate the program's capabilities, a three-dimensional reconstruction of the left heart chambers was performed in 9 patients.
Results. The NM Program automatically calculates left ventricle (LV) systolic and diastolic volumes, cavity length, ejection fraction, and left atrial systolic volume. Thus, the use of the NM technique significantly reduces the time of the study, since it frees the doctor from the need to manually determine the systole-diastole by ECG, trace the LV contour, and then separately, also manually, calculate the volume of LP by other methods incorporated in the computer program of the device.
Conclusion. All features of the heart in different types of pathology should be accurately visualized and evaluated to develop the optimal strategy and tactics of treatment. The introduction of the new HeartModel software opens up new possibilities for the ultrasound doctor to evaluate the geometry, volume, and architectonics of the left heart chambers.
