Abstract

Analysis of the lesion topography of the right ventricle (RV) myocardium associated with IHD based on the autopsy results is presented. Parallels with peculiarities of coronary bed lesions are drawn. Autopsy material included 53 heart preparations of the deceased IHD patients in which during the autopsy there was revealed RV myocardial lesion as postinfarction cardiosclerosis or the RV acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Peculiarities of myocardial lesion topography of the both ventricles are revealed. In posterior localization this is a lesion of the left ventricular (LV) posteroinferior wall, posterior portion of interventricular septum (IVS), involvement of the RV posterior wall. As a rule the lesion involves significant area of the RV myocardium. In anterior localization - a lesion of the LV anterior wall, anterior septal region with the extension to the RV anterior wall adjacent to IVS which is often localized at the apical region. As a rule the area of the RV myocardial lesion is small.
