Abstract

A clinical case of a successfully performed geometric reconstruction of the left ventricle in combination with myocardial revascularization in a patient with an asymptomatic postinfarction aneurysm is presented. In the perioperative period, the method of transesophageal echocardiography was used to clarify the diagnosis, monitor intracardiac hemodynamics, and evaluate the result of the surgical procedure. With the help of the original method introduced into the practice of the Bakoulev National Medical Research Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, the optimal end diastolic volume of the left ventricle was calculated, which is preferably modeled when performing a geometric reconstruction operation.
