Abstract

The aim of this study was dynamic changes of interstitial compartment in patients undergone coronary artery bypass graft surgery in preoperative and postoperative periods. In the study the fluid status was measured by bioelectrical impedance (device ABC 01 MEДAC, which assesses i nterstitial, intravascular compartments). The device measures impedance of different compartments of the body, using such indicators as: weight, height, age, sex. There were 2 groups of patients according to preoperative level. The most of patients had accumulation of interstitial water, in spite of degree of HF. When exceeding water in interstitial compartment is 30% higher, it is a marker of HF. Decreasing volume of the interstitial compartment correlated with regressing HF. Hospital stay morbidity of patients with 30% and more interstitial compartment water are higher than those of patients with less volume.
