Abstract

MRI studies were examined with modified 2D phase contrast magnetic resonance angiography retrospectively cardiac triggered - Quantitative Flow technique. 73 healthy volunteers were investigated. Quantitative characteristics of the blood flow through intracranial venous sinuses and jugular veins describing a multilevel cerebral venous outflow. An attempt to estimate the influence on the blood flow to such factors as: vessel incline, the nature of blood flow, vascular wall structure and a cross-sectional area of vessels at intra- and extracranial level. Our findings show the importance of multimodality multilevel cerebral venous blood flow estimation and allows to look at this system as a single whole, with their relationships and influence laws.
