Abstract

429 patients with brachiocephalic arteries atherosclerotic lesions had the following types of reconstructive surgeries: 319 (74%) patients had one-sided carotid endarterectomy (EAE) from (BCA) 6 (1,3%) of patients had resection and BCA replacement, 136 (31%) of patients had VA reconstruction. Clinical neurological, neuropsychological assessment of vertebral artery with MMSE, FAB score, assessment scores of motion activity in elderly Tinnetti (Func tional Mobility Assessment in Elderly Patients Tinnetti) as well as the whole spectrum of imaging methods of diagnosis and single-photon emission computed tomography, cerebral SPECT was performed. Positive effect of reconstructive surgeries on restoration of clinical neurologic functions, improvement of regional and hemisphere blood flow values, regional perfusion level was confirmed.
