Abstract

Pulmonary hypertension is a frequent complication after surgical interventions on the heart in early postoperative period. Timely diagnostics and appropriate treatment are required. Transthoracic echocardiography used as a screening method is a priority technique for diagnostics of pulmonary hypertension. For maximum accuracy, not only parameters of common echocardiography are used, but variables of Doppler examination that allow conducting of complete quantitative evaluation of systolic and diastolic function of the right ventricle in pulmonary hypertension are used. Complex approach to evaluate pulmonary hypertension provides the use of new therapeutic strategies that not only decrease symptom severity, but increase the length of active life of patients of cardiosurgical profile in postoperative period.
