Abstract

Objective. To study of condition of cerebral venous haemodynamics in patients with hypertensive encephalopathy (HE) with constitutional venous insufficiency (CVI) in the course of neuroprotective therapy by a сytoflavin in a dose of 380 mg on 2 tablets 2 times а day of 25 days.

Material and methods. We examined 140 patients with constitutional venous insufficiency, suffering from hypertensive encephalopathy of I–III stages, middle age 46,7 ± 7,7 years. Patients of the main group received the basic therapy and сytoflavin in a dose of 380 mg on 2 tablets 2 times in day of 25 day, the 30 patients of the parallel group received only standard basic therapy. Ultrasound duplex scanning of intracranial and ekstracranial venous, test with ortostatical loading, Valsalva's test, ultrasonic test by D. Celermajer technique were used in the study.

Results. All patients with HE with CVI had signs of stagnation of venous blood by ultrasound duplex scanning which decreased after сytoflavin's course reception.

Conclusion. Cytoflavin showed high efficacy. The results received during research allow recommend to use сytoflavin in complex therapy of patients by hypertensive encephalopathy with constitutional venous insufficiency already for all stages of a disease.
