Abstract

The analysis of published data on the treatment strategy of patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia in intensive care unit. Recommended range of preventive and therapeutic interventions that reduce the frequency of ventilator-associated pneumonia. It is shown that effective treatment is necessary to make the most rapid appointment of adequate antibiotic therapy, and conduct microbiological monitoring. In order to reduce the systemic toxic effects of antibiotic treatment with inhaled antibiotics proposed which allow to ensure the delivery of sufficient quantities of the preparation in infectious focus. Held stratification of risk factors ventilator-associated pneumonia in patients undergoing cardiac surgery.
