Abstract

Objective – to compare the immediate results of surgical treatment of aortic valve with stented and stentless xenopericardial prostheses series of “BioLAB”.

Material and methods. From 2002 to 2007 frame xenopericardial prosthesis "BioLAB" was implanted in the aortic position 68 patients. The average age 65,4±4,0 years. From 2007 to 2013, was also implanted 50 frameless xenopericardial prosthetic aortic valve position in 50 patients. The average patient age 69,9±3,8 years.

Results. When aortic prosthesis carcass xenopericardial aortic clamping time ranged from 51 to 142 min (mean 81,7±20,4). In the early postoperative mortality was 7%. When aortic valve prosthesis frameless xenopericardial time of aortic clamping 76,6±5,1 min (64–95). Hospital mortality was 8%.

Conclusion. We believe that xenopericardial prostheses as framed and frameless series "BioLAB" can be implanted in patients older than 65 years in the aortic position. In the early postoperative period showed a significant decrease in left ventricular mass, which is certainly a positive impact on the process of further remodeling. The advantage of frameless prostheses can be considered the possibility of implanting a prosthesis larger diameter compared with the measured parameter at a narrow fibrous ring.
