Abstract

Objective of this study is an experimental investigation of the effectiveness of the use of barrier films and patches for the purposes of closing the defects of the pericardium, made of stable glutaric aldehyde bovine xenopericardial and Glisson capsules and the use of allogeneic decellularized pericardium treated by tissue engineering.

Material and methods. As the experimental model young male wistar rats were used. The tissue samples were placed on the epicardium or allocated in the subcutaneous tissue. As the tissue samples used the bovine pericardium, Glisson capsule of the liver and allogeneic pericardium treated with glutaric aldehyde, deoxycholic acid, EDTA and digitonin, followed by washing.

Results. The best results are shown allogeneic pericardium treated with EDTA and digitonin. Adhesions was weak. Other methods of treatment have led to a more pronounced adhesive process that required the separation of adhesions without the use or with the use of a surgical instruments.

Conclusion. The use of deoxycholic acid at this stage it is impossible and requires considerable refinement of the method of washing and detoxification. For the final selection of materials necessary to conduct a comparative study with films from various natural and synthetic polymers.
