Abstract

In article discussed tactics of surgical treatment of patients with stenosis and tortuosity of internal carotid arteries, revieved literature data of the open surgery correction of that combined pathology and endovascular treatment, performed at the last time. Discussed the case of diagnostics and succesfull treatment of the patient with stenosis and tortuosity of the internal carotid artery. Choice of operation was based on level of stenosis, localization of tortuosity of internal carotid arterie, hemodynamical significance of tortuosity, stroke in anamnesis. Period after operation was uncomplicated, that consider the posability of effective surgical treatment of these kind of patients without cimplications. Positive dynamics of neurological status with regress of complaints was pointed, in accordance with ultrasound diagnostics data, which reflects revival of brain blood flow.
