Abstract

The existence of controversial points in unclear clinical situations and non-informative data of noninvasive diagnosis in ischemic heart disease requires the search for new innovative methods for diagnosing coronary atherosclerosis and the objectification of myocardial ischemia. Deformation of the myocardium and other indicators of tissue dopplerography are reliable and objective markers of myocardial ischemia and a decrease in the contractile ability of the myocardium. Of particular interest is the use of these indicators in the conduct of stress echocardiography. The available publications show high figures of sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic accuracy of changes in myocardial deformation during stress echocardiography in predicting obstructive lesions of the coronary arteries.
