Abstract

Efficacy of endovascular interventions on the branches of aorta should be evaluated non only with clinical data, but also by assessment of implanted stents. Numerous publications on stenting is available; however, no clear guidelines were established regarding standartization of ultrasound imaging after the intervention, that allow adequate assessment of stent patency and risk factors for restenosis. We present standartized protocols for colour duplex scanning in patients, who underwent balloon angioplasty and stenting of carotid, vertebral and subclavian arteries, based on our long-term experience.
