Abstract

Objective – to identify common patterns of cerebral vascular autoregulation (CVA) shifts against various diseases.

Material and methods. The paper analyzes the results of five studies on changes in cerebral hemodynamic reserve (CHR) in pre-eclampsia, sleep apnea, cervicogenic headaches, chronic rhinitis and in atherosclerotic lesions of cerebral arteries. An ultrasound evaluation of cerebral blood flow with functional tests was managed.

Results. There were registered changes of vasomotor reactivity index (IVMR), characterizing CHR, with different clinical forms before and after treatment. The evaluation of IVMR in arteries of carotid in and basilar systems was carried out. IVMR acts as an indicator of the degree of CVA violation / restoration.

Conclusion. In the initial phase of a protective restructuring in various pathological conditions the CVA range may shift, with an increase in painful phenomena – expand and in the final phase of suffering – narrow.
