Abstract

This article is the first comprehensive review of the problem of competitive blood flow from the standpoint of clinical and fundamental medicine. The biophysical substantiation of the conditions for the emergence of competitive blood flow is given. The coronary bed and the formed shunt are considered as a hydrodynamic system of parallel tubes. The definition of competitive blood flow, clinical and anatomical conditions of its occurrence, as well as clinical and angiographic diagnostic criteria are formed.
